Using a CT scan of your knee, restor3d creates a 3D model of your joint — correcting for arthritic changes like bone spurs, cysts, or flattening to reconstruct what your knee looked like before arthritis developed. From that model, a metal implant is cast from a custom 3D-printed mold, along with surgical guides built specifically for your anatomy.

Because the implant is designed specifically for you, it more closely matches your knee’s natural shape and contours — eliminating the sizing and positioning compromises common with off-the-shelf implants, helping preserve more of your natural bone, and, patients report, reducing post-operative pain and discomfort.

He selects the restor3d implant where appropriate for patients requiring knee replacement, suitable for patients of any age whose condition isn’t limited to just one or two areas of the knee. Because each implant is custom-manufactured for your anatomy, production typically takes up to six weeks, which we’ll factor into your surgical timeline together.
