Meet Dr. Grimsley

Dr. Richard Grimsley grew up in Jacksonville and has practiced orthopaedic surgery in this region since 1995. A fellowship-trained specialist in adult joint reconstruction, he has performed thousands of hip and knee replacement procedures over his career.

“Very few medical specialties are able to cure a specific disease as effectively as orthopaedics,” Dr. Grimsley says. “In most cases, joint replacement surgery can resolve a patient’s problem completely, and that’s really satisfying.”

It’s that gratification — helping people get their lives back — that drew him to the field, and still does.
